Expecting a Good News? Congratulations!

While everybody you know must have their own list of DOs & DON’Ts for this phase, you must know what to surely avoid – Stress & Anxiety.

Mood swings, panic attacks & unidentified stress are certain things that are really common to occur when you’re pregnant. However, when it comes to priorities, we’re sure that you would choose the life that’s growing inside you above everything else.

Here are some tips that can help you manage your stress levels and anxiety, with great ease:

A. Talk It Out:

They say, ‘talking initiates a solution to everything’. Whatever is on your mind, confide in someone you trust. Be it a friend, a family member or a doctor – it will only make you feel lighter. Because, you’re expecting, a happy and healthy pregnancy and peace of mind should be the most important things on your priority list.

B. Rest & Relax:

Sit back and relax! It’s all going to turn out just the way you want it to. Resting, meditation or simply taking deep breaths are all known to help in easing anxiousness to a great level. It diverts your attention, regulates your heart beat and helps in keeping you stress-free – something which is equally important as taking your meals on time.

C. Divert Your Attention:

It’s hard, but it’s necessary. Don’t overthink! Listen to your favourite music playlist or binge watch your favourite show. It’s all good when you feel good, but it’s the best when you’re happy – so try to stay that way!

D. Make Sure Your Doctor Knows:

Sudden anxiety, panic attacks or stress are common during pregnancy but if they become a regular occurrence, your doctor should be instantly informed. Talk to your therapist if you’re seeing one. There is nothing to feel ashamed or embarrassed about. Talking about your feelings and thoughts, especially if they seriously bother you is vital.

E. Pen It Down:

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you can’t explain why you feel what you feel deep inside. Maybe, because you feel you’re not ready to talk about it. So why not try to write and vent it out all at once? Keep a diary! Write down your thoughts, your feelings, your anxieties each time you feel low, confused or even anxious. It would help in tracking & identifying your trigger points and sharing these with your doctor could help a great deal in reducing stress and anxiety during pregnancy.

It’s imperative for you to stay happy and stress-free during pregnancy. Being a mother is a big deal and you staying calm during this phase is going to make all of it, worth the effort. So relax, smile and enjoy it to the fullest!
